355 cubic inch (5.7litre) Chevrolet engine with a cracked block filled with grout. Single plane manifold, alcohol carb, roller rockers and a solid camshaft. GEARBOX
2 speed Powerglide automatic modified to full manual with a transbrake fitted. A 5000rpm stall converter is used. DIFFERENTIAL
Narrowed 9" with 31 spline axles, full spool and
11" drum brakes. FUEL
SYSTEM
Forward mounted fuel tank with two electric pumps using a bypass system to feed a 750cfm carb. Methanol is used for fuel. OTHER
No radiator or water pump is used. The block is filled
with concrete grout and heads are filled with coolant and a catch can
is used to contain any expansion. Engine remains at an acceptable temperature
due to the cooling effect of the alcohol fuel. STATISTICS
